As a Project Manager in the Leadership Academy, Institute of Nursing Excellence, you will play a key role in the delivery of new, innovative leadership projects. Using your expertise in project management, creative thinking and problem solving, you will be a valuable member of a growing team that is committed to building a Leadership Academy that supports and strengthens nursing leadership.
The Leadership Academy has big ambitions to provide a wide range of programmes and resources, though collaborations and partnerships, and with stakeholders from multiple arenas. As part of they team you will:
• Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of innovative leadership initiatives that shape the future of healthcare.
• Collaborate across departments and with external partners to ensure projects align with strategic priorities and deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through robust project management practices, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Prioritise the project management of a new Network / Executive programme for Senior Nurses and Chief Nursing Officers, a national mentorship programme for early career nurses and a new programme for leading complex HR and high stakes investigations.
This is a unique opportunity to influence leadership in nursing while working on nationally recognised programmes within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation.
You will be an experienced project manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects from inception to completion. We are looking for a great team player. Key skills and experience include:
• Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities, with the confidence to lead and influence across all levels.
• Experience of working across teams or departments, ideally within a professional, healthcare, or educational setting.
• A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM) or equivalent experience.
You’ll be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive impact through effective project delivery.
