Salary range per annum*: £47,745 to £53,934 per annum (pro-rata) plus London weighting allowance of £5,094 per annum (pro-rata)

In the position of Lead Nurse Lived-Experience, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on nursing practice and policy through a variety of key responsibilities. Firstly, you will lead transformative projects within our Mental Health Programmes, driving the integration of lived experiences into nursing practices. By collaborating across departments and engaging with various stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in shaping evidence-based solutions that address contemporary challenges in healthcare.
Additionally, this role offers a unique chance to foster collaboration among RCN members, external organisations, and diverse forums, ensuring that the voices of patients, families, and professionals are central to our initiatives. This approach promotes a culture of inclusivity and understanding within the nursing community. You will also contribute to the strategic direction of our Practice Academy, prioritising lived experience leadership and supporting the operational delivery of workforce mental well-being initiatives. In doing so, you will help create a supportive environment by championing anti-stigma efforts and enhancing the overall culture of nursing.

Professional and Lived Experience:
Active NMC registration and extensive experience in nursing practice and education, with the ability to leverage your personal lived experience to enhance patient care.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead in teams effectively, manage performance, and drive positive change within nursing practice and education.
Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear articulation of complex issues to diverse audiences.

*We offer a competitive pay structure with annual pay progression until you reach the top of the salary scale. We normally offer new employees the first point of the salary range, although you may be able to negotiate a higher starting salary depending on your skills, experience and current salary.

Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
